Atgam 250 Injection 5 ml belongs to the group of medicines called immunosuppressants indicated for the prevention and treatment of acute rejection in patients receiving a kidney transplant. It may also be used to treat aplastic anaemia in patients unsuitable for bone marrow transplantation. 

In some cases, Atgam 250 Injection 5 ml may cause side effects such as fever, chills, low white blood cell count, low platelet count, blood clotting problems, and skin rash. Do not be reluctant to talk with your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worsen.

What happens after ATG treatment?

What happens after I finish my course of ATG? After completing your course of ATG you are at a small risk of serum sickness. Depending on your hospital and the distance you live from it, your doctor may ask you to remain in hospital for another two weeks to be monitored for serum sickness.

Can you fully recover from aplastic anemia?
